Hungary

The single pan-European emergency number 112 is operational in Hungary, where there four level 1 PSAPs are organised nationally and regionally and 20 level 2 PSAPs are organised regional level.

As the system overview illustrates below, Hungary is currently capable of receiving and handling E112 calls. However, the back office system at the PSAP level still needs to be fully implemented. Only the level 1 PSAP is capable of handling the data, which is then communicated to the level 2 PSAP and the emergency service vehicle via a voice link.
