Slovenia The single pan-European emergency number 112 is operational in Slovenia but it is not the only emergency number in use. It co-exists with 113 for the police department. The emergency service is organised in 13 1st level PSAPs and 112 2nd level PSAPs all organised regionally.
The system overview below illustrates the E112 emergency call systems currently being implemented in Slovenia (full implementation expected by the end of 2005). The location information provided by the network is pushed to the 1st level PSAP that can forward the accident information to the appropriate 2nd level PSAP. In this case, the accident location is mainly used to generate a GIS-map and to dispatch the correct emergency service vehicles.
