FeedMap workshop presents latest in map updating Creation date: 18 January 2008
The second FeedMap User Forum workshop will take place on 18 March 2008 at the ERTICO – ITS Europe office in Brussels, Belgium and will present specifications of the FeedMAP/ActMAP framework and its test environments, showcase the developed programmes and reflect on the lessons learned during implementation. The workshop is free of charge and open to all interested parties.
The EC-supported and ERTICO-coordinated FeedMAP project studies the commercial and technical feasibility of map deviation feedback. The project has developed a framework that detects map anomalies, when any car equipped with a digital map happens to come across a faulty map attribute, and quickly updates maps in other vehicles using a standardised mechanism developed in the ActMAP project.
Updating maps
The objectives of the workshop include presenting specifications of map updating and map deviation feedback, showcasing prototype implementations and presenting first test results and discussing lessons learned from implementation and their impact on the final version of the FeedMAP specifications. Please note that space at the 18 March FeedMAP User Forum Workshop is limited.
The FeedMAP/ActMAP Forum is open to all who are interested in incremental map updates with feedback loop in future in-vehicle applications or services. Membership is free and offers participants the opportunity to closely follow the progress of FeedMAP and directly communicate with the project’s core team.
For more information on FeedMAP and its follow-up, and/or to participate in the next phase of the FeedMAP/ActMAP Forum, please contact Maxime Flament |
