IRF 2007 Global Road Achievement Awards Competition

The International Road Federation (IRF) has officially opened the 2007 Global Road Achievement Awards Competition. Started in 2000, this worldwide programme seeks to honor and recognise road projects throughout the world that demonstrate excellence and innovation. Since the annual competition began, more than 60 projects from two dozen countries have been recognised for their contributions in the advancement of road development worldwide.

 

In 2007, the IRF will be accepting awards submissions in each of the following categories:

  • research
  • design
  • innovative finance
  • technology, equipment & manufacturing
  • advocacy & lobbying
  • environmental mitigation
  • construction methodology
  • maintenance management
  • safety
  • traffic management & intelligent transportation systems
  • program management
  • quality management

Applications are due Tuesday, 1 May.
